UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva
UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is supposed to face former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort in the main event of UFC 108. The match-up was called off because because Silva will not be fully healed from elbow surgery.
Instead of the Silva vs. Belfort match-up, UFC 108 will feature the fight between Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva in its main event. UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva is scheduled on January 2, 2010 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin II Results
Forrest Griffin successfully avenged his split decision loss against Tito Ortiz at UFC 59: Reality Check with another split decision (28-29, 30-27, 29-28) on the main event of UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin II earlier at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Meanwhile, Josh Koscheck defeated Anthony Johnson via rear naked choke submission at the 4:47 mark of the second round of their welterweight match.

- Light Heavyweight bout: Jon Jones defeated Jake O’Brien via submission (modified guillotine choke) at 2:43 of round 2.
- Lightweight bout: Jim Miller defeated Mac Danzig via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, 30–27).
- Light Heavyweight bout: Mark Coleman defeated Stephan Bonnar via unanimous decision (29–28, 29–28, 29–28).
